Call to Worship (responsively)
One: Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord,
Many: “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
One: For the Lord will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence and will cover you with his pinions;
Many: under the Lord’s wings you will find refuge. God’s faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
One: You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Many: nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
One: A thousand may fall at your side, then thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Many: You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.
One: Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your habitation,
Many: no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent.
One: For God will give his angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways.
Many: They will bear you up on their hands lest you dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
One: Because they cleave to me in love, I will deliver them;
Many: I will protect them, because they know my name.
One: When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them.
Many: I will satisfy them with long life and show them my salvation. (Psalm 91, 810 UMH)
Opening Hymn Holy Ground (2272 TFWS)
O Mysterious God, who hides in the shadows of our steps, who surprises in way inexpressible, who lingers in paradox: ignite our spirits to revel in your presence, inspire our souls to dance in your mystery, free our minds to rest in your holiness, fully comforted, totally quiet, completely yours. In the name of Christ, the Mysterious Word made flesh. Amen. (W&S 51)
(Be sure to "subscribe" to our YouTube Channel too, so you don't miss any updates!)
Refrain: Grace, grace, God’s grace Grace that will pardon and cleanse within Grace, grace, God’s grace Grace that is greater than all our sin!
2) Dark is the stain that we cannot hide. What can avail to wash it away? Look! There is flowing a crimson tide, Whiter than snow you may be today. (Refrain)
3) Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace, Freely bestowed on all who believe! You that are longing to see His face, Will you this moment His grace receive? (Refrain)

Sermon You can download a sermon below
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
We know this is a tough time for everyone, but every little bit helps. Our preferred method of giving is by utilizing our online giving platform available with any of the green "Give" buttons located throughout our website. This is safe, secure, and gets the funds to us nearly instantly. Alternatively, you may mail your offerings to the church (3800 Roland Ave, Baltimore, MD 21211)--but there may be a delay in depositing. Lastly, please consider bringing your offerings when we resume meeting to "make up" the weeks missed. We appreciate your generosity as we seek to continue our mission and ministry throughout the community and world during this difficult time.
Offertory Hymn There is None Like You, Shirley Milledge, Soloist
Doxology (94 UMH)
Prayer of Dedication
Heavenly One, we often hear that children are a gift from God. Knowing that each person is created with unique fingerprints and DNA, we are reminded that we, too, are your gift to others. You have given us this gift of life and our many possessions. During these offertory moments, we joyfully and faithfully return this money that ultimately belongs to you, In the name of your son, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen. (W&S 145)
Closing Hymn I'll Fly Away (2282 TFWS)--Start at 23 seconds.
UPDATE: We are worshiping remotely at least through the end of November, except for communion services to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. If you have pastoral needs, please contact Pastor Bonnie directly (preferably through email or the website) so they can be addressed promptly. We have no office hours and all activities, including, but not limited to worship, Bible Study, Church Council, choir, and After School Programs are cancelled until the building re-opens, and will be on a modified schedule once we return.
When Pastor Bonnie goes on maternity leave (sometime in August), Pastor Randy will be covering for her. Any questions, concerns, pastoral, or worship needs should be directed to him. He will be supported by our Program Assistant, Will McBride. Please keep them in prayer.
A "Re-Launch" Team is meeting to discern best practices for our congregation moving forward. Stay tuned for more information. We understand many people are anxious to resume in-person services, however, we do not feel we are ready for a safe re-opening.
